Disaster & Hunger Relief
Disaster relief is a relatively new program. Unfortunately, the increasing numbers of climate-related catastrophes has compelled us to set aside reserves and create emergency fundraising campaigns to provide immediate assistance when extreme need suddenly arises.
Typhoon Assistance in the Philippines
Emergency vegan food for typhoon victims – in partnership with Food For Life Global.
Report from Food for Life Global:
More than 50,000 hot vegan meals were served to survivors of Typhoon Haiyan by the Food for Life teams based in Manilla.
The volunteers struggled under very difficult conditions for months to deliver the meals that were sponsored by caring donors, including A Well-Fed World.
Other disaster relief feeding projects include:
- Superstore Sandy in New York and New Jersey
- Typhoon and Tsunami relief in India
- Hurricane relief in Haiti
- Refugee assistance in Cameroon.
