Why Global Grants

More Power-Per-Dollar

Our Sustainable Keys Global Grants empower groups and individuals in the U.S. and around the world to help people AND animals in need through promotion of vegan food/farming, farm animal care/rescue, and community empowerment/advocacy.

With our grants, contributions go farther…

Many of our international recipients leverage the power of the dollar to make exceptional differences in low-income countries, where the U.S. dollar often has higher purchasing power.

Many of our U.S. recipients stretch donations far as they are individuals and small groups with limited resources and low overhead. Your donation makes a relatively bigger difference for groups with smaller budgets.

Choose Your Group

Give-a-GrantTo fully sponsor the group of your choice, donate $500 or more. Then, specify in the comment field your group (or type of group). You can also email us at grants@awfw.org.

We send 100% your donation, thus absorbing the administrative and staffing costs. Let us know if you have a specific area of interest to help choose a group that’s a good match.

Selected groups must meet our mission and criteria to be approved. As a general rule, previous grant recipients will be eligible.

To request a new group
, please review our How to Apply criteria. A full application is not required, but the more details the better.

Donations of all sizes are immensely helpful and greatly appreciated. Smaller donations and donations without a group designation are pooled together to provide maximum benefit where needed most.

The Power of Grassroots Change

A Well-Fed World works with national and international non-profits and other NGOs at the policy level to create structural reform and leverage the massive ripple effects of top-down change.

Our Sustainable Keys Global Grants program is the complement, specializing (though not exclusively) on working with local, grassroots organizations to build a strong base of support and have a direct impact from the bottom-up.

Structural change is critical for long-term solutions that address core issues, not just symptoms. Grassroots activities provide immediate assistance while also providing both pressure and support for structural change.

Our grant recipients are specially chosen based for their effectiveness and ability to create immediate change in their communities and/or support critical structural change. In addition to providing tangible benefits for people, animals, and the environment, these efforts bolster the top-down changes… thus, both types of advocacy reinforce the other.
